Our First Days in Room 107

We have had an exciting first 2 weeks in Room 107!  We got to know each other through activities, songs, stories and sharing information about ourselves! We explored several learning centers that we will be using during the year.  We discussed & voted on guidelines and rules to be safe and respectful learners.  We also had the opportunity to meet our specialists that we have class with each week for Music, Art, Gym and Computer class.

Max, Jayden and Nolan explore the "spelling rocks" collected from the beach at the Science/Nature Center. They select rocks to spell their names.

Max teaches us a new "hello"song that he knows during our greeting time at Morning Meeting.

SIenna and Osawese try  Millie's Math House on the computer.

We love writing and learning letters in many different ways in Room 107!  Nolan can even write his name with twigs from outside! Great job, Nolan!

Mia inspired Nolan to also do an observational drawing of our pumpkin! Nolan used the book at the science table to write the word "pumpkin". Great thinking!

Vasilia and Michelle listen to Brown Bear, Brown Bear at the Listening Center while reading along in their book.

The Writing Center was a very popular choice at Center Time during our first few days in Room 107!

Theo, Jayden, Iyanna and Sarah use clay to roll out letters of the alphabet at the Art Studio.

Mia works at the science table to observe our classroom pumpkin and draw exactly what she sees.  She decided that she only needed 2 colors to make her observational drawing.

Janeudy gets inspired to explore some gourds and record what he sees!
